Tee Off at Splendido Taal Golf Course, Tagaytay
Packing his bag and getting ready with his camera, Tutubi traveled on a Friday evening to Tagaytay City, checking in at the swanky Taal Vista Hotel for a couple of hours sleep before waking up early, much too early actually for a weary corporate slave, for the golf tournament that usually begins at daybreak when the heat of the sun is still bearable.
With the tee off starting after a hearty breakfast, Tutubi took pictures of the vast estate and playground of the rich and famous that is Splendido Taal Golf Course.
Splendido Taal Golf Course, an 18-hole Par 72 signature championship golf course by Greg Norman, comes with a golf clubhouse, country clubhouse and residential community for those who got money to burn. Future Developments in the pipeline include a town center, hotel and resort, townhouses, condotels.

The only problem with Splendido Taal was the absence of a system of fast counting/ tallying of scores so much like the Comelec. You know what that is.
How to get to Splendido Taal, Alfonso, Cavite:
The entrance to Splendido Taal is about 13 kilometers from the Tagaytay city rotunda (roundabout) and near the Tagaytay City-Alfonso boundary (remember Sonya's Garden?). If you want to take a peek, suggest you inform the guard that you're making an inquiry about the place for possible wedding or other events venue.

Taal Vista eh ... I was there to admire the view of Taal Volcano. Did not stay in the hotel though.

WOOOOOww, did you know I love Golf and this was very interesting and readable post with great pics to document it too!
Coming from Norway, these golf course looks so nice and warm and good - very exotic you know.

cheh, i only played golf at a driving range in fort bonifacio plus sone putting in the office of my boss
kyels, checked it at 11pmand wokeup at 4am. paid awhopping sum for a couplehours of sleepin that pricey hotel. but ididn'tpay for it so it's ok. yeah, played golf at a driving range onceplus the golf practice inmy boss' office.

Really enjoy keeping score on the Garmin Approach G5 GPS also a very intuitive process. Play rounds where someone in group has used a rangefinder and find the Garmin to be just as accurate and much quicker to use - you just look at the screen to see the distance to the flag without having to line it up or press any buttons.The screen is easy to read in sunlight even with polarized sunglasses.

Splendido is nice but the greens were not as nice as the Highlands. I prefer the Highlands as far as Golf membership is concern, although the guards at Splendido were more welcoming than the snooty guards at the Highlands. One thing to note is that although this place is in the Philippines, there's an overwhelming majority of Chinese residents in the Highlands, probably because it's own by SM realty. Highlands is better overall.
